Get into the fast lane: MITUTOYO at the world’s leading quality management trade fair CONTROL

A wealth of innovative new products, outstanding inline measuring solutions and groundbreaking measuring devices that are among the fastest and most accurate: A visit to the MITUTOYO booth at the CONTROL fair (May 5 through 8, 2015 in Stuttgart) grants fascinating insights into the domain of ultra-modern premium dimensional measuring.

Neuss, March 2015. Metrology is at the heart of quality management in manufacturing industry branches. Thus, the world’s leading trade fair for quality management CONTROL from May 5 through 8 in Stuttgart is of great significance.

With the theme “Get into the fast lane“, MITUTOYO, being a worldwide leader in manufacturing precision metrology instruments, displays ultra-modern high-speed measuring solutions for all branches and any purpose at this year’s CONTROL show: The booth of no less than 540 square meters boasts a wealth of products, ranging from high-quality precision calipers to high-end vision measuring systems, form and surface roughness testers as well as state-of-the-art CNC coordinate measuring machines. The booth in hall 7, number 7401 is visible from afar with a large MITUTOYO logo as well as a large-scale display.

The focal point of the MITUTOYO trade fair is – amongst others – the topic „High Accuracy“, one of the most outstanding strengths of the Japanese premium manufacturer. All product groups feature ultra-high-precision devices that offer a maximum of accuracy as well as highest quality. This concept comprises instruments like the contour and surface roughness tester Formtracer Extreme SV-C4500 CNC, the coordinate measuring machines of the STRATO-Apex series and the measuring microscopes MF/MF-U in their fourth “D” generation.

MITUTOYO also presents an abundance of new products of all product groups and for all purposes. The Japanese metrology specialists are extremely fond of a novelty by name of Quick Image, a ground-breaking new 2D vision measuring system. In connection with the new standard QIPAK v5 software it takes just a single click of a button to trigger automatic recognition of the part on the work stage, aligning and measurement of all features within the field of view. Thus, it doesn’t take special metrology training for the staff to operate the system. Therefore, the new Quick Image 2D vision system saves enormous amounts of time and – as a consequence – money.

Especially the MITUTOYO product group of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) boasts comprehensive novelties. By use of the brand-new MITUTOYO MiCAT Planner, measuring programs can be generated automatically on the basis of the workpiece’s CAD data within minutes – as opposed to hours or even days before. The tried and tested inline CMMs MACH-V and MACH Ko-ga-me enter the market in a revised new generation, just as the CMMs CRYSTA-Apex S and STRATO-Apex, whose range will additionally be extended on the top end.

The new MITUTOYO Legex series constitutes the pinnacle of CNC coordinate measuring machine technology with an outstanding accuracy of no more than 0.28 micrometers. A new design, a new controller and an ultra-high resolution guarantee unmatched precision.

MITUTOYO presents novelties also in the field of hardness testing. The Japanese offer a new generation of their HM-200 Series Micro-Vickers hardness tester. As the likewise new Vickers HV-100 hardness tester, the new device comes in a choice of four different variants with manual or motorized stage and touchscreen or PC control.

Moreover, the manufacturer expands the product group of hand-held Small Tools: An abundance of new functions as well comfortable and simple handling is what the new generation of Digimatic ID-C Indicators by MITUTOYO offers. The customer has the choice between three different versions that are – depending upon version – applicable in bore gauges or feature a calculation function or a peak-hold function.
